SalaChat Privacy Policy
SalaChat is a website for meeting people one at a time by video, voice or text, in English and Turkish. Running it involves some information about the people who use it. This page explains what that information is, why it’s needed, who else is involved and what you can ask for. Questions go to [email protected].

It applies to everyone who opens salachat.cam, as a guest or with an account, in a browser tab or from a home-screen shortcut. A guest session is created on your first visit, because matching can’t work without one, so the policy applies from that moment.
“SalaChat”, “we” and “us” mean the team that operates salachat.cam. The Turkish pages of the site are covered by this same English policy.
Your browser sends some technical details with every request: the type of device and browser, the language it’s set to, your IP address, and from that an approximate country. We use these to show the site in a sensible language, to keep it working on your device, to spot abuse such as automated traffic, and to count visits.
Small pieces of data are stored in your browser so a guest session survives a page reload and so the site remembers choices such as dismissing the home-screen banner. Clearing your browser data removes them.
When you press start on the match screen, your camera and microphone (for Video), your microphone only (for Audio) or neither (for Text) are used to connect you with one other person. The browser asks for permission first, and you can withdraw it in its settings at any time.
To make matching and the people list work we keep records such as when you matched, which mode you used, who you followed and who you blocked or reported. If you report someone, the details you send with the report are kept so it can be looked at.
If you buy coins or a VIP membership, the payment is processed by a payment provider. We receive a record that a purchase happened, what was bought and whether it went through, but we don’t receive or store your full card number.
We keep a history of coins added and spent so your balance is correct and so we can answer questions about a purchase.
A few service providers help run SalaChat: hosting and content delivery, the infrastructure that connects calls, payment providers and analytics tools. They handle information only to provide their service to us. We don’t sell personal information.
We may disclose information if the law requires it, or if it’s needed to protect someone’s safety or to deal with a serious breach of the Terms of Service.
In a match, the other person sees and hears whatever your camera and microphone pick up, and the browser can’t stop anyone from taking a screenshot or filming their own screen. Share only what you’re comfortable with, and keep your phone number, address and other contact details to yourself.
If you sign in, your profile is visible to other users. People you’ve blocked shouldn’t be able to reach you through it.
We keep information for as long as it’s needed for the purposes above. Guest-session data and technical logs are kept for a limited time; account information is kept while the account exists; payment records are kept for as long as accounting and tax rules require. When information is no longer needed it’s deleted or made anonymous.
You can change camera and microphone permissions in your browser, clear the site’s data, edit your profile, and block people. You can also ask us for a copy of the personal information linked to your account, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under local law.
Write to [email protected] from the email linked to your account, or include enough detail for us to find it. We may need to confirm it’s really you before acting on a request.
SalaChat is only for people who are at least 18, or the age of majority where they live if that is higher. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone younger. If you believe a minor is using the service, tell us at [email protected] and we’ll act on it.
If we change how information is handled we’ll update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes will also be shown on the site before they take effect.
