1. In one paragraph

SalaChat connects you with one person at a time by video, voice or text. To do that it handles some technical details about your device, your camera and microphone during a match, and, if you sign in, your profile, follows and messages. It doesn’t sell personal information. You must be 18 or older. Be decent to people, don’t ask for money or contact details, and use Report and Block when someone isn’t.

2. What’s handled

• Device and connection details, such as browser, language, IP address and approximate country, to run the site and stop abuse.
• Match activity, such as which mode you used, who you followed, blocked or reported.
• Account details, if you sign in: profile, follows and messages.
• Purchases: a record of coins and VIP bought, handled with a payment provider that holds the card details.

3. What other people see

The person you’re matched with sees and hears what your camera and microphone pick up. A website can’t stop someone screenshotting their own screen, so share only what you’d be fine with them keeping. If you sign in, your profile is visible to other users.

4. The rules, briefly

• No nudity, sexual content, harassment, hate or threats.
• Nobody under 18, and no pretending to be someone else.
• No asking for money, card details or contact details; no promoting other services.
• No recording or sharing other people without permission; no bots or scripts.

5. Coins and VIP

SalaChat is free to start. After the free matches and any rewards, matches, calls and live-room gifts use coins. VIP is optional. Coins have no cash value and stay on SalaChat. The full explanation is on the page is SalaChat free?.
